S1C counducts HIV/AIDS and STD education & prevention in the African American / Latino communities to help reduce the number of reported cases each year. Education and prevention methods are tools to empower people to make conscious decisions in their sexual behaviors.

S1C offers anonymous or confidential HIV Counseling & testing, (HIV OraQuick Advance Testing) Results from OraQuick Test are available in 20 minutes. Only the person that is tested may receive results, which are given in the testing office. Testing is done Monday through Friday 9AM until 5PM.

* Hepatitis C Education, Prevention & screening
S1C Provides educational workshops and screening on Hepatitis C coinfection to HIV.
S1C welcomes all volunteers and community service people. We are run and operated by volunteers that have taken time out of their busy schedules to give a helping hand as office personel, outreach workers and as fund raisers. Volunteers are bound to confidentiality.
* Internet Outreach
S1C has a unique way of reaching high at risk populations, through the internet. Realizing that chat rooms are popular pickup sites, we are on daily engaging in conversations to help promote risk reductions of the transmission of the virus HIV/AIDS. Also making themselves available for questions and answers about HIV & STDs.
* Latino Outreach
S1C is working very closely with the Latino community in delivering HIV/AIDS education and prevention services. A translator is on staff at all times.
* Incarcerated HIV Testing & Transitional Program
S1C has a incarcerated HIV testing & transitional program for the newly released inmates that are HIV positive. This program assists inmates in accessing services for medical, housing, and employment.
* Youth Outreach
S1C conduct youth outreach through schools, night clubs and youth organizations. Drop in center for youth is available.
* College Campus Outreach
S1C is working with local college campuses to ensure proper HIV/AIDS educational and prevention programs are in place.
* Peer Counseling
S1C Peer Counseling program is made up of dedicated HIV/AIDS clients who help educated those who are newly diagnosed and the community as a whole. They must attend a two day workshop to gain training knowledge and certification.
* Support Groups - "Evening Chat" and Partners of Positives
S1C conducts support groups to engage and empower participants to take control of their diagnosis. Inclusive of living an mental, physical and spiritual lifestyles. These groups are anonymous and provide a safe, nondiscriminatory atmosphere for participants to explore feelings and concerns regarding their diagnosis.

S1C Conduct one on one prevention case management that help to reduce high at risk behaviors.
S1C reach at risk AAMSM through social networking. Reach one, teach one through regular social gatherings.
S1C has an AAMSM Empowerment Group that address underlying issues that may lead to risky sexual behaviors. The group also addresses issues related to social, political, educational, econonic, health, family, and relationship challenges.
