S1C is one of the leading African American & Latino MSM HIV/AIDS outreach organizations in the Metropolitan Atlanta area. Providing HIV, HCV & STD education, interventions, counseling & testing, and prevention methods.
Our mission is to empower the African American and Latino Men who have Sex with Men community, through HIV, HCV & STD education and prevention methods, assisting them to take control of their lives in making sound sexual decisions. To broaden the knowledge base of people living with AIDS and to assist them to make conscientious choices about available health care options, and enhance their skills to live a healthy and fulfilling life.

S1C has extraordinary access to the community and places where the African American & Latino Men who have Sex with Men community congregates. A "Gatekeeper". Thus, the agency has access to parks, bathhouses, clubs, adult bookstores, private sex parties, internet chat rooms, etc.. In these settings, S1C is able to convey messages and provide HIV/AIDS, HCV, STD prevention, interventions, and educational information. Having obtained the confidence of the community in a non-judgmental way, the African American & Latino MSM have become more open to discussions about reducing at risk behavior and likewise more open to invitations to attend weekly social network gatherings and support group meetings, where we reach one, teach one.
